Purpose of Survey
Purpose of the the inventory of sites and structures identified as the Old Town Area. Each structure was surveyed for interesting features of architecture and historic backgrounds. All the structures were identified as to their architectural styles and then photographed. The structures were researched where ever possible to find their original owners. Documented as to their original owners through tax records, legal documents and newspaper accounts.

All maps are available to the public. Please contact the Algonquin Historic Commission. All dates are based on our records of tax records, database of historical events and documents gathered by the Historical Commission, such as legal abstracts.
