St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church

1876 Organized by 17 men on March 1st.

1888 New bell hung which has weight of 1300 pounds.

1893 Lutheran parsonage burns down, cost $1,500.

1901 School is dedicated on October 13th.

1915 Old Lutheran Church is razed.

1915 W.W. Abell, well known architect, designs a new church.

1915 New church corner stone laying on September 12th.

1954 Church builds new a new educational building.

1974 Nursery and Kindergarten classes are added.

1999 Church is demolished the church during the summer.

Congregational Church

1850 First meeting on Feb. 9th in Ambrose Dodd home.

1867 Church is dedicated on January 17th.

1880 The church is renovated.

1889 The parsonage is built by the congregation.

1898 First Motion Picture shown at the church.

1905 New pulpit and furniture are installed.

1913 Corner stone of the newly remodeled church laid.

1917 The new bell is hung.

1931 New church is dedicated, cracked bell replaced.

1958 Church constructs school addition costing $65,000.

1965 Classrooms built in basement for cost of $8000.
