Regiments
Since our last .... not copied ...... to know.
At Aurora everything was running along smoothly. The regiment is full, and only waits the arrival of the uniforms, so long promised and so long delayed, to take up their march to Missouri. We found the men cheerful and contented. But few had been sick, and they were convalescent.
The Sabbath was observed much better than in any camp we have visited. There were three services during the day. One at 11 A.M., in which we officiated. At 2 P.M. Rev. L. Parmely of Dundee preached one of his most charming sermons. It was listened to by a very large audience, with profound attention. It fairly sparkled with gems of peerless beauty. The third service we were unable to attend.
We repeat whet we said last week, that Kane county has reason to be proud of the spectacle she presents of three regiments of brave men encamped on her soil.
