95th IL. Regiment (200 Algonquin Volunteers)
About 116 men joined the 95th Regiment which was formed in Rockford, Illinois in 1863. The regiment was soon involved in the Vicksburg Campaign. Records show that at the end of the war, Illinois 95th Volunteer Regiment had 983 men: 37 killed, 175 unfit, 6 AWOL, 23 deserted, 14 absent with leave, 99 sick, and 75 sick absent.
Regiment fought at Vicksburg May Assults, Fort DeRussy, Red River Campaign, Brices Crossroads, Nashville, Spanish Fort and detachment of veterans fought with Sherman's Army in the battle for Atlanta.
36th IL. Regiment (22 Algoquin Volunteers)
36th Regiment fought at Pea Ridge, Perryville, Chickamauga, Lookout Mountain, stones river, Resaca, New Hope Church, Atlanta, Kenesaw, Spring Hill, Franklin, Nashville.
